AoC Sport membership review conclusions

Many thanks to everyone who engaged in the AoC Sport membership review earlier this year. 90 college representatives attended our roadshows and 68 colleges responded to the on-line questionnaire. The feedback was hugely valuable and has resulted in significant changes to the proposals that were put in front of members.

As a result, the Premium Affiliate membership will not go ahead and the Basic Affiliate package will not go ahead as proposed.

Non-colleges will not automatically become affiliates and they will have the option to become affiliates for an increased fee  of £500. With that, there will be additional benefits such as an e-newsletter, discounts and, subject to consultation with the ECFA Committee, national football team trials.

16-19 free schools and academies (not football academies) which are part of a group with a member college, will be considered for membership on a case-by-case basis.

AoC Sport will implement the above proposals in time for the 18/19 academic year. Each term, reports on progress and issues will be made to the board, advisory groups and regional networks.

Details of the full review can be found below.
