AoC Sport secure additional funding for WorldSkills UK Fitness Trainer Competition

We are delighted to announce that AoC Sport have secured two sets of funding from the WorldSkills UK Innovation Fund to further develop the competition in the UK and secure our place as a leading organising partner of skills competitions.

We will be delivering two new projects related to the competition over the coming months. The first will look at increasing engagement across London and the South East regions – historically the regions with the lowest competition entries. And the second project is to develop video and photography elements of our live heats, using the footage and images to promote the competition and competitor journey.

Competition Manager, Christopher Pitts said: “I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to secure additional funding into the competition for 2018. These two new projects will help to drive up our competitor numbers and engagement across college and private training providers, as well as promoting and publicising the competition to wider networks of education and commercial sectors.”

Organisations in London and the South East have already responded to calls for roadshow venues in great numbers and will see the Competition Manager and Head Judge travelling across the regions to deliver hands-on sessions to students and staff on the competition.

Any interested colleges or private training providers are encouraged to contact FitnessTrainer_Comp@aoc.co.uk if they would like more information about these roadshows.

We’re looking forward to having professional video footage and images of our competition journey this year and will share through our social media channels.
