AoC Sport runs sport, network and training events for our member colleges, staff and students. Our events range from high-profile national conferences for senior college management, to bespoke training programmes.

 

National Football Conference 2017: People make strategy happen

Hilton at St George’s Park, Burton Upon Trent

With the upcoming launch of a new strategy for college football, this conference will focus on the importance of a skilled, diverse and dedicated workforce to develop both football through further education and employing football to strengthen FE.

AoC Sport Summer Conference 2017

Wednesday 21 June 2017

The event enables delegates to network and share best practice with other college sport staff and external partners, while keynote speakers and breakout sessions with NGBs, partner organisations and AoC Sport staff, ensure the event is a key date in the calendar.

Sport in the Curriculum Conference 2018

January 2018 (date and location to be confirmed)

The Sport in the Curriculum Conference is the only national event dedicated to driving excellence in teaching and learning and supporting curriculum managers in sport and active leisure departments.

The conference attracts more than 150 delegates and is aimed at Senior Managers, Faculty Heads, Curriculum Area Managers, Heads of Sport and Lecturers.

 

Network meetings

We operate network meetings in each of the nine AoC Sport regions to give member colleges the opportunity to discuss key issues and share ideas. Heads of Sport and Operations Group meetings take place each term – upcoming meeting dates can be found on the regional pages.

 

Training

We offer a growing programme of training and development opportunities for college staff, including guidance on writing a cross-college sport strategy, and mental health first aid training.
