Be Your Best Pre-Season Programme

Overview

The Be Your Best pre-season programme is a six-week programme starting in September to ensure students are fit and ready for the AoC Sport leagues and cups starting on Wednesday 4 November.

The programme is open to all AoC Sport members and Natspec member colleges and is made up of three key areas:

  • FITNESS PROGRAMME – Developed by our WorldSkills Fitness Trainer alumni Ricky Raybould to support athletes in their preparation for competitive sport. The weekly programmes are focused on speed, strength, power and endurance with guides and video demos for each aspect.
  • STRAVA CHALLENGE A specific running challenge for sports teams within colleges to compete inter-college and against other teams nationally. The average team distance per week will go onto a leaderboard page with a prize for the top college each week starting from September 21.
  • Q&AS WITH EXPERTS – A Q&A series hosted on AoC Sport’s Instagram page with industry experts, including the following topics: nutrition, sports psychology and strength and conditioning. Students will be actively encouraged to submit their questions via social media for our panel of experts to answer.
