The top 12 gym instructors and nine personal trainers have been confirmed following five regional heats, in which 40 gym instructors and 30 PTs took part.

The national semi-finals will take place at Loughborough University in July.

The competitors will be stretched from their sessions at the live heats and the tasks are designed to test their skills with industry in mind. They will be competing for a place at the prestigious UK Finals in November as part of The Skills Show, which will be held at Birmingham’s NEC in front of 100,000 visitors over three days.

Competition Manager, Christopher Pitts, said: “We’ve seen some amazing competitors this year, the best of all four years of competition and the judging team and myself are really excited to see which of these 21 competitors will make it through to the final 14 at The Skills Show.

“It should be a really exciting day of competition.”
