AoC Sport invites college nominations for national hockey representative teams
AoC Sport is inviting colleges to nominate students to attend regional trials for our national hockey representative teams.
We are delighted to announce will once again be running our men’s and women’s national hockey representative sides for 2016/17.
Students, who must be Under-19, should be nominated by their college and may then be invited to one of two trials. Students successful in the initial trials will be invited to a national trial, with final squads being selected from this group.
All nominated players must be Under-19 as of 31 August 2016.
Players are expected to be of a club standard as a minimum and if selected would have to be willing to pay (with college support) towards kit, accommodation, food etc. Exact figures will be confirmed in due course.
Please note, the South trial is for male players only. Female players for the South region should be nominated to Iain Burstow and he will confirm whether that player is eligible to go straight to the national trial.
The North trial is for both male and female players. The final trial is also for both male and female players.
The South trial (to include South East, South West, East, London and West Midlands) will take place on Wednesday 2 November at Southampton Sports Centre. The trial will run from 12.00 – 4.00pm, with registration at 11.45am at Southampton Sports Centre, Thornhill Road, Bassett, Southampton, SO16 7AY.
