ECFA Committee Vice Chair steps down
After five years as Vice Chair on the ECFA Committee, Dr Julie Mills OBE has decided to step down.
Julie, Principal of MK College Group, helped ECFA achieve significant success in her time on the committee, including the securing of a representative position on FA Council for AoC Sport, giving the FE sector a voice at the highest decision-making level for football in the country.
In addition, Julie has supported and driven the committee to increase in size and improve in diversity, including the addition of youth representation. Under Julie’s guidance, the committee has rigorously advised, checked and challenged the ECFA’s inaugural strategy, AoC’s annual FA investment, and the selection of Premier League institutions. She leaves the shirt in a better place.
Dr Julie Mills OBE, Principal of MK College Group said: “It has been such a pleasure to see the work of ECFA be increasingly more recognised by the FA. Becoming members of the FA Council was a significant achievement and has raised the profile of not just football in the FE sector but of FE generally.
“I will continue to be a strong advocate for the ECFA, I think it does an amazing job in creating opportunities for our students and contributes hugely to our shared FE mission to transform lives.”
AoC Sport wants to formally place our thanks on record to Julie Mills for her service to ECFA Committee from 2015-2020.
We are now recruiting a new committee member. All information on the opportunity can be found here: https://www.aocsport.co.uk/news-cs/vacancy-ecfa-committee-member/
