England Colleges Head Coach and Chichester College FA Cup success

England College’s Men’s Head Coach, Darin Killpartrick, and eight Chichester College alumni who have come through ECFA’s competition pathways are relishing the opportunity they have to secure a spot in the third round of the FA Cup with Chichester City FC.

This success highlights the talent of players and staff within the college sector, and is a testament to the hard work from staff at Chichester College who have built a football programme that is breading players of such calibre. The college currently operate men’s and women’s football and futsal teams, and have been awarded FA College Grassroots Super Hub status.

Eighth-tier Chichester City FC, the lowest ranked team left in the competition, will play  in the FA Cup second round on Sunday December 1 against League One’s Tranmere Rovers.  The Isthmian League South East Division side defeated Bowers & Pitsea 2-1 away in the 4th qualifying round and then received a first-round bye after Bury’s demise.

Their second round tie against Tranmere Rovers will be televised live on BT Sport, with a cited live broadcast fee of £75,000 per club, plus a £54,000 bonus for the winning team.

AoC Sport would like to place on record their congratulations and best wishes to Darin Killpartrick, and the Chichester College alumni playing in the squad, five of which have represented England Colleges National Team:
