Entries invited for relaunched AoC Sport Open Golf

Entries are now open for the AoC Sport Open Golf event this year.

There will be competitions in November and March. A third event will be held at the AoC Sport National Championships in April.

The opening event takes place at the prestigious PGA National Golf course at The Belfry Golf Club on Wednesday, 6 November.

The Belfry is synonymous with golf and has hosted more Ryder Cup tournaments than any other venue in the world. Eight of the 18 holes on the PGA course feature water, giving students an excellent opportunity to test their skills on a demanding course.

The second event is on Wednesday, 4 or 11 March 2020 (venue to be confirmed). The third event will be played over 36 holes as part of the AoC Sport National Championships on 24 and 25 April 2020.

The first two events are open to colleges and non-colleges, but only full AoC Sport member students can enter the National Championships, as there are no regional qualifying events this year.

Member colleges can enter students into as many or a few competitions as they like.

Points/scores will be carried over from the first two events to the National Championships and overall winners will be given medals. Medals will be awarded in each of these categories at every event:

  • Men’s and women’s individual gross score
  • Men’s and women’s individual net score
  • Team competition (best 3 gross scores from four players from the same institution)

Please note we have limited tee-off times secured at the Belfry Golf Club so early entry is essential. The cost per student for each of the first two events will be £55 per event or £105 per student for both events. This will cover the cost of tee times, as well as a light lunch after each event

The closing date for entries into this event is Tuesday, 15 October 2019.

Entries will only be accepted on this official entry form:
