FA fund for women’s football college staff – opportunity to find out more
Join our webinar at 10am on 4 March 2020 to learn more about how your college can secure a funded staff role to drive women’s football in your college.
There is a new wave of FA funding to allow colleges to employ an FA Women’s Football Development Officer (apprentice) to grow participation in football and futsal across the college and within the community.
Please note that any AoC Sport member college is eligible to apply for this opportunity. Find out more about the FA Women’s Football Apprentice programme.
Your college does not have to deliver apprenticeships as this will be done by AoC Sport’s partner apprenticeship training provider. You simply need to be able to employ a member of staff from August 2020 onwards supported by FA funding.
AoC Sport is looking to select 20 colleges to receive the funding for a staff post commencing in August 2020.
If your college is successful, AoC Sport will help you in recruiting the individual into post via the planned national recruitment drive, which will include north and south assessment centre style days for shortlisted candidates and their prospective potential line managers to attend.
Following this, selected individuals will then progress to an interview with their chosen college.
This opportunity is aimed at colleges who have a real desire to increase the number of females who are active at their college and want to build a women’s football offer which caters for those who want to play for fun as well as those who want to play for competition.
We will be hosting a webinar on 4 March 2020 at 10am-11am am to explain more about this opportunity.
