The UK finals of the competition are hosted as part of WorldSkills UK LIVE from 21-23 November, the nation’s largest skills and careers event, which is expected to see over 80,000 visitors over three days.
At the finals, the competitors will be tested on a range of industry-designed tasks which will allow them to show off their incredible skills in personal training.
The finalists will work in a custom-built showcase gym, with top of the range Matrix and Concept2 equipment. They will receive expert training from both Matrix and British Rowing before the arduous three days of competition begin.
Competitors will have the opportunity across the finals to boost their online presence, using the platform of WorldSkills UK LIVE’s fantastic arena.
They will also have the opportunity to work with the incredible team at Active IQ to promote their involvement in the competition and speak with previous gold medallists of the competition.
The showcase finals event will also see the top three finalists in the Fitness Assistant category competing in a brand new finals competition, working in an industry-relevant scenario.
The talent we expect to see in the finals of this competition proves that learners of lower levels with disabilities have an incredible amount of skills and want to contribute to the workforce of the fitness industry.
