Get your college involved with National Fitness Day 2018

AoC Sport is proud to be supporting the annual National Fitness Day, which takes place across the UK on Wednesday 26 September.

National Fitness Day encourages the nation to celebrate the fun of fitness and physical activity across the UK.

It is also a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping us raise awareness of its importance in helping us lead healthier and active lifestyles.

AoC Sport has produced a National Fitness Day resource for your college to use to promote the day. It includes social media images, a ‘What fitness means to me’ template, and posters to advertise your events. This resource can be downloaded from the ‘resources’ page on our website, or via the link below.

National Fitness Day sees a huge range of activity options enjoyed by participants of all ages, such as ‘plank offs’, yoga and Pilates classes, treadmill challenges, high-street HIIT classes, dance-offs, mass walks, and many more.

We would like to encourage your college and students to take part, whether that is running a special event, sharing ‘what fitness means to me’ photos and videos on social media, or publicising local free activities to your students.

You can find your local activities through the activity finder.

Social media

Please share any ‘what fitness means to me’ photos and videos with us via:

Twitter and Instagram @AoC_Sport – using #fitness2me.

The social media hashtag for the day is #fitnessday.
