Leave your legacy with the University of East London’s High Performance Sport Programme

What legacy will you leave when you move on from further education? What do you want to be remembered for?

At the University of East London (UEL), our High Performance Sport Programme is full of students who want to create an outstanding future for themselves and those who will follow in their footsteps…to truly be a part of the legacy left by London 2012.

Each year over 150 students apply and are accepted onto this programme because we understand exactly what it takes to support you to achieve outstanding performances in sport and in education. They represent their University and the legacy they want to leave for the future.

Our success is built on world-class facilities and a team of staff that are absolutely committed to supporting you as a student athlete. Our facilities played host to the US Olympic and Paralympic team during London 2012, and are located 15 minutes from the Olympic Park.

Our staff include Coaches, Practitioners and Educators in Sports Performance who have experience at the highest level, providing everything from one to one technical practice, strength and conditioning and planning for life as a high performing athlete.

Athletes on our programme include London Lions Captain, Joe Ikkhinmwin, Commonwealth Games 2018 athlete Corinne Humphries, and World Athletics Champion and two time Olympian graduate Adam Gemili.

As we continue to climb the British University and College Sport (BUCS) league table, we have also become one of the top universities for sport in the UK. Students from across the country voted UEL as one of the top ten for sport, and the number one in London through the Which? Survey.
