Open Golf Championships 2019: tee times announced

AoC Sport are pleased to announce the tee times for the 2019 Open Golf Championships have been drawn as the event begins next week.

Taking place at the superb Fairmont St Andrews, students will compete for two days on both the Torrance and Kittocks links courses.  Fairmont St Andrews has previously been awarded IAGTO European Golf Resort of the Year, further highlighting the fantastic opportunity available to the students competing.

Last year’s 2018 championships had some great golf and some exceptional performances with a number of new AoC Sport Open Golf records in its 8-year history.  The 2019 Open is lining up to be an equally competitive event with 75 golfers entered, challenging students with another formidable test of golf.

Four-under par, with a total of 142 was the winning score by Hartlepool College of FE’s, Cameron Wallace last year, who took home the top prize with a two-shot victory. In the women’s gross event, Sophie Johnson from Hartpury College took home the winner’s prize with a 17-shot victory over her nearest competitor, Sophie is returning to defend her title.

The first group will tee off on Tuesday, 5 March at 7am, with the last group setting off at 9am. Due to the number of entries for the 2019 Open, the competition will be played across both courses on both days, giving students the opportunity to compete against some of the top students in college golf.

Please see below for a full break down of the tee times for both Day 1 and Day 2.
