#RunAndRevise Campaign

During the week of 13-19 May we have partnered with England Athletics and Mind to encourage students to #RunAndRevise to take a break from exam revision or coursework and improve their mental wellbeing through running one+ mile and have a chat as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

  • 1 in 4 of us experience mental health problems each year and running can help everyone’s mental wellbeing
  • Rates of depression and anxiety among teenagers have increased by 70% in the past 25 years with around one in ten children having a diagnosable mental health disorder
  • 80% of young people say exam pressure has significantly impacted on their mental health.

Colleges can be part of this new campaign by registering to host a run.

For more information about the #RunAndRevise campaign, or to register a run, please visit www.englandathletics.org/runandrevise or contact: runandrevise@englandathletics.org.  England Athletics is providing support material for you to promote your event which will be available to download following registration.

If colleges aren’t able to host an event then they can help us with a call to action. From Friday 19 April the call to action will be for individuals to take part and search for and book on runs. Find your nearest #RunAndRevise session here.

Don’t forget to share your pictures of your session on social media using the hashtag #RunAndRevise and tagging @EnglandAthletic and @AoC_Sport.
