Storey, Cockroft and Fox add more Paralympics medals to GB tally
ParalympicsGB surpassed their London 2012 gold medal tally yesterday, after another successful day in Rio.
The former Cheadle and Marple College student had already become ParalympicsGB’s most successful ever female athlete last week with victory in the 3km pursuit.
Hannah Cockroft also won her second gold of the Games, adding the T34 400m title to the T34 100m title she successfully defended at the weekend.
The former Calderdale College student won in world-record time yesterday, having broken the 100m Paralympic record on Saturday.
In the pool Former Cornwall College student Jonathan Fox got his second silver medal of the Games overnight.
After coming second in the S7 100m backstroke at the weekend, he missed out to team-mate Michael Jones in the S7 400m freestyle final.
