Top reasons to attend the College Sport Conference 2016
The College Sport Conference 2016 takes place at The International Centre, Telford, later this month, with the ‘Fit for Work’ strand of AoC Sport’s ‘Fit for College, Fit for Work, Fit for Life’ strategy taking centre stage.
The conference this year will run alongside the ukactive Flame Conference, on Tuesday 28 June.
There are a few spaces still remaining to join us on the day, and here are the top four reasons to attend:
- Gain national sports development policy updates from the key agencies
- Be the first to hear about new initiatives and opportunities for the sector and discover innovative ways to develop sport in your college
- Develop links with employers attending the ukactive flame conference
- Network and share ideas for best practice with colleagues from across the UK
A range of people from across the college sport sector will be in attendance on the day, including College Sport Makers, coaches, Heads of Sport, Apprenticeship Programme Managers and National Governing Body FE leads, among others.
There will also be a series of breakout sessions, alongside keynote speeches, throughout the day.
Breakout sessions include an open surgery session with selected NGBs, changing young peoples’ behaviour, government and Sport England strategies in relation to colleges, and engaging with AoC Sport competitions.
