VACANCY: Development Officer (Competitions)

Salary: c£26,000 – c29,000 per annum dependant on experience

An opportunity has arisen within AoC Sport as we recruit for a Development Officer to work in the Yorkshire and Humberside and North East regions and, working with our Competition Manager, to oversee our development team’s competition delivery and development. We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic and experienced sports development professional to join our team.

In this role you will be working collaboratively to develop the sport and physical activity opportunities to students in colleges at all levels including tackling inactivity, increasing participation and organising and supporting our competition pathway. With responsibility for the delivery of a range of events, including Regional Tournaments, and to lead our development team’s competition delivery, this role must provide an outstanding level of service to our member colleges and external partners. This is an exciting time to join our team as we plan to meet the challenges of the Government and Sport England strategies as well as achieving our aim of getting every student active.

To be successful in this role you must be able to work with a wide range of partners to achieve shared outcomes, be equally happy to work collaboratively within a team and independently, be proactive in building partnerships and able to make decisions quickly. You should also value diversity at work, be prepared to work flexibly, manage multiple priorities and take responsibility for completing the job at hand to a high standard.
