An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join AoC Sport as the National Football Development Manager.

The position is presented in partnership with The Football Association (FA) and English Colleges FA (ECFA) – the football development arm of AoC Sport.

In this role you will lead AoC Sport’s football development team to develop and enhance football and futsal participation in colleges and across FE communities

Working through 210 member colleges and influencing up to ¾ million students, your mission will be to get more students active in line with the strategies of AoC Sport, ECFA and The FA.

The role will require strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills, as you navigate the complex landscape of post-16 football.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a key player in AoC Sport’s management team, ensuring that football development plays a major role in delivering AoC Sport’s vision of ‘every student active’.

You will also be working closely with senior colleagues in The FA and in the Association of Colleges to influence wider changes in sport and further education.

You will be a leader and manager with experience of football/sport development and the ability to manage projects, people and budgets on a national scale.

You will have the ability to work independently and under your own initiative; you will also be effective in leading a team, generating ideas and inspiring others to do so.

Effective interpersonal skills, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential for this role. Additionally, you will have a flexible approach to your work with a positive, outcome-focused approach to problem solving.
