WorldSkills UK Fitness Trainer Competition Finals only two weeks away

There are just two weeks to go until the WorldSkills UK Fitness Trainer Competition for 2017 will be taking place as part of the Skills Show at Birmingham’s NEC Arena, with eight competitors competing over two days in a range of industry driven tasks.

The finalists will go through half a dozen tasks, marked by our team of expert judges, for more than 12 hours in the two live show days. Our judges will then finalise their scores before the medallists are announced at a ceremony on Saturday 18 November.

AoC Sport is so proud to have been able to organise this competition for a fifth successive year and we are grateful to all of our partners and stakeholders who have contributed to the development of this competition, allowing hundreds of students from across the UK to stretch their learning, challenge themselves and show true vocational excellence in their field.

We’re also extremely thankful to our team of expert judges who not only give up their time at live heats and the finals in person but who also make up our Technical Experts Group who design and develop the tasks and criteria under head judge, Karen Stanton. The competition would not be possible without them and we appreciate the support of them as individuals and their employers.

For the third year in a row, Active IQ as the fitness industry’s leading Awarding Organisation have been involved in the competition and this year have been the headline sponsor, providing support across the wide reach of the competition and at every level from institution based through to the finals. We have additionally been supported over the years by YMCA Awards, Technogym, Matrix and Future Fit Training, all of whom have been instrumental in supporting the development and growth of this competition.
