WorldSkills UK Fitness Trainer Competition receives record number of entries
The WorldSkills UK Fitness Trainer Competition, managed by AoC Sport, is now closed for entries for the 2016 competition – and we are pleased to announce that this is a bumper year for the competition.
Individual competition entries are up 45% to 109 on the 2015 competition. These entries come from 35 institutions across the UK including entries from every English region, all three devolved nations and the Channel Islands.
For the first year ever entries include those from private training providers rather than just FE as in previous years.
Competitors have completed an online assessment of general industry knowledge and questions based on the ukactive Blueprint for an active Britain. They have also each submitted a two-minute video showcase which will be marked by our team of expert judges.
Scores from both the online test and video showcase will determine which competitors are invited to compete at one of five regional competitions in May. 40 Gym Instructors and 30 Personal Trainers will get the chance to compete at a regional competition to earn their place at our national semi-finals.
Best of luck to all competitors going forward.
