AoC Sport Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is an AoC Sport project to support colleges to enhance and develop volunteering programmes for their students.

The aims of the academy are to get more college students volunteering in sport and physical activity and to diversify the volunteer workforce.

Any AoC Sport member college can register to be part of the Leadership Academy, whether they have an existing volunteer programme or not. The diagram below shows the structure of the Leadership Academy as well as the expectations of colleges.

How to get involved

To register your college with the Leadership Academy please complete this registration form. Registrations for the Leadership Academy for the 2021/22 academic year will close on Friday 8 October 2021.

Expectations of colleges

The various programmes within the Leadership Academy have different expectations for the colleges that are accessing them.

All colleges that access the overall benefits of the Leadership Academy will need to ensure any student volunteers that engage in any part of the Leadership Academy complete a personal development survey to show the impact volunteering has had on them.
